Here is an image I have been working on.
Thoughts and Critique are requested.
What I have done:
1) Combined 5 images using Affinity AstroPhotography Personal.
2) cloned in the foreground from 1 image to remove artifact from the image stacking.
3) applied a layer copy set to overlay mode and reduced the opacity to 66% to remove over half of the yellow light polution in the bottom of the sky.
4) cloned out a few airplanes
5) using curves made sure the black sky was black (CMYK Trick)
6) Did a Man From Mars color correction on a separate layer and combined in Color Mode to make some of the blue stars pop.
7) Applied Topaz AI Motion Blur Very Blurry to the image.
8) Applied Topaz De-Noise Low Light to the image.
Things I am looking for:
Suggestions for the Horizon.
Overall opinion
Errors or issues
Compositional issues
Ideas for improvement

Re: New Image for Discussion
Really nice image Greg!
In order to further reduce the yellow light pollution I added a violet color layer, which also took the yellow out of the water color. This , in combination with a vignette, seems to focus more attention on the sky, and also I wasn't sure that the relatively brightly lit, large expanse of water in this setting contributed that much to the image.
Well, that's one take -- let's see what you think...I recognize that it alters the colors of the scene.

I like the Violet layer addition. Adding it to the list. Might make some masking changes as I go forward.
Thanks for the look.
How about the satellite trail? does it add or subtract form the Image? It can be removed, but should it?

I'm not absolutely sure but I think I'd leave in satellite trail because its opposite leaning diagonal, relative to the main diagonal, makes the image more dynamic.
