Hi
I tried to take photos of fireworks on New years Eve
I learnt a lot about how not to do it
I managed to get a few interestingly abstracty images - or just rubbish.
It depends on your perspective

I tried a number of crops and your second one seems to be the only possibility. It's a good crop though!
