The submission deadline for August's photo assignment has now passed, and so it's time to open the "Patterns" photo assignment up for your votes! Our thanks to all those who took your camera's out for us this month - it's a real pleasure to see so many wonderful images; if you've yet to visit the gallery, you're in for a real treat!

Hi Lee and Greg
Just tried to show my daughter the photo assignment images using her iphone to access facebook
Its not visible!
Tried my android phone and the same result
all ok on my home computer
Both phones have up to date versions of facebook
Do you have any idea whats going on?
My daughter is in her twenties and was very clear that she prefers to access facebook through her phone rather than use her computer.
I guess if we are aiming to increase visability we might need to take this into account
Interested to hear if you have the same result

Hi Julie,
Yes, I've noticed the same thing. The problem is that the Facebook website checks to see which device is being used to access the site, and serves up a 'mobile' version to people accessing it with their phones. The mobile version of Facebook only displays the Facebook Timeline, which - unfortunately - means that Facebook 'Apps' are hidden. So, the problem is not with the Photo Assignment app itself, but with the Facebook website; not sure quite what can be done about that, but we'll look into it...

For those of you having trouble accessing the Photo Assignment page on Facebook via a mobile device, I have something to help:
As mentioned previously, if you try to go to our Facebook page, the 'Photo Assignment' button will be missing; however, if you go directly to the 'Photo Assignment' page - via this link: http://bit.ly/cm-patterns - you should get there without any trouble. ;D

Also, if you have submitted an image, remember that each of your photos have a URL that you can share with your friends, if you'd like to ask your friends to vote for you!
