Here are my two versions of the Graffiti picture. First standard corrections in Lab mode.
Then in version one applied a lightness mask and increased saturation in Lab mode.
In version two increased saturation of part of the saturation curve in HSB and no mask.

Can you make the reds on the wall positively radioactive without blowing out the cab and the yellow sign??  It's in there...push it a bit more and see what happens...

what do you define as standard correction?

Kessi,
With standard correction I mean setting a Black point, a white point and a neutral. This time in Lab mode. I try to avoid threshold as I think a defined black point often gives better result. But threshold can help me find that point. Neutral was chosen in pavement and moved around to find something to my liking. Then I also applied a contrast curve.
Saved and made a second pass, not standard, trying to increase colurs of the Graffiti only. This I defined as not standard! :)

To help you with the "standard" you might want to set the threshold numbers in CM so that you get 5,5,5 as black and 250, 250, 250 as white.  Click on the wrench and look through the tabs...you'll find it...

Changing the settings helps with the shadow and highlight points...
