I'm not too sure how I got to this state, but I thought I'd report it. The attached screenshot shows a selected curve point at 48/48 (confirmed by the tooltip text if I hover over it). The values in the corner still show the values of the other point though, further down the curve.

If I find a way of reproducing this I'll add to the thread.

Actually there's something a lot screwier about this than I thought. Firstly, that point is off the diagonal, which means it can't be 48/48, although that's definitely what the values and the tooltip said.

And try this: open CM3 into Lab mode and click on the lightness curve at 50/50 to create a point. Now use a mouse drag to highlight the input value in the bottom right corner and hit '6' (as if about to type, say, 60). The curve updates dynamically and leaps of the screen as expected. Now, before you hit the '0', move the mouse pointer over the 2 value fields. For me they keep appearing and disappearing and taking on strange values as I move the mouse!

I think you were able to fool the interface into dragging the point off the graph altogether.  The mouse "thinks" it still has control over the position of the point, and when you pull the rug out from under it, it continues to move it somewhere in the ozone.

I'll put this on the todo list.

Keep the bugs coming!

I've seen this behavior as well..I think it's related to my posting about control points...somehow...not sure yet...

Mike, did you read and try the experiment I described in my second post? I don't think this is simply a TODO list item. Changing the point values using the keyboard and the text entry widgets in the corner of the curve graphic is completely broken.

Point taken, Derek.  Sometimes I'm in the debugger when an email arrives, and if the description seems crystal clear, I don't always actually try the experiment before responding.
