Try moving further up the curve to the shadow end. 
You opened the highlights up too much. 

You might be into deminishing returns here..if you feel like you cannot get the image where you want it you might try starting from the beginning again.  Sometimes it's easier to start over than it is to fix an image that has gone too far...

I'll leave it up to you but there are really no rules here except that you like the finished results.
