I think I mentioned this one before, so chasing up here...

The Ctrl-0 and Ctrl-Alt-0 hotkeys to do the zooming don't always work. If something else has focus, like a mark on a curve, these key presses are ignored. AFAICT, these keys always work in PS. Even with the Curves adjustment layer dialog running, hitting Ctrl-0 zooms the image in the window behind it.

I use these keys all the time and find their inconsistency in CM3 frustrating!

The selection is still not marked in any way in the CM3 image window. I just stumbled across this one again, having started CM3 with a selection in the corner of my image and being puzzled when CM3 seems to be not responding.

I've not looked at masks as all (Gloria seems to be doing a fine job there!) but I wonder if there's scope for a solution along the lines of if there's a a selection in place when CM3 is started a mask is automatically applied? I'm vague on masks, so this might be rubbish. :)

Failing that, maybe CM3 should just show the selected area of the image, like the liquify filter? Or leave the marching ants on screen like the Unshark mask filter?

Not sure, but I feel something is required.

Thanks, Derek.

I'll see about chasing down the command routing problem that you reported some time ago. This is an important bug because if affects not just the zoom buttons, but all commands, and can result in a very confusing experience even for an experienced user.

Calculating a marching ants border may be beyond what I can do before the next release, but I may be able to do something simpler such as displaying a quick mask style overlay initially, with a button to remove it.

Thanks for bringing these up again, Derek.  I wrote them down, then lost them in the shuffle of the crashes and other more dramatic bugs.
