I darken the image heavily using the L curve in Lab. Add a step curve to bring out the texture in the flower and add a "lizard tail" for the highlight. I exit CM2 and duplicate a layer. I enter CM2 again in Lab to increase the saturation heavily. Then, I reduce the opacity to my taste. I then flatten the image and sharpen it heavily to bring out the sparks of the water droplet.

I like the overall tone and shadow control...
Did you find the spider??
