Tried a HDR. So impressed and I still have a lot to figure out.
Too much??

Fortunately there's lots of tutorials available. Sure have to expect a learning curve. I have to unlearn certain ways to do things in PS and new way in AP. Julie, if I may, here's a tip that you may use a lot. I wrote a macro (PS calls it action). When you have a panorama or straightening an image and don't want to crop it all, but use "contend aware fill" (inpaint in AP):
1. When straightening or panorama -> Blank spaces at the sides/corners outside of image.
2. First duplicate layer (should have done it already) and select the original layer below it. Right click on original layer->Rastorize (or Layer>Rastorize)
3.Select (File,Text...Select (Menu Bar))->Alfa Range->Partial Transparent
4. Select->Grow/Shrink->add +5px and Apply
5. Edit->Inpaint
I'm sure between Greg, You and myself, we'll be able to ride AP bareback, without a saddle

Thanks for that information. I will have to learn how to use a macro. I am still attached to adobe a the moment because I really like lightroom for cataloging. At the moment I can afford it but maybe not in the future.
I am also playing with the option to have a website with adobe as part of their photography plan. I have started and will let the group know when it is on line.
Can you give me your opinion if the photo is over processed. The sunlight on the mountain maybe looks overdone but it was a brilliant gold in reality. but maybe I need to tone it down?

If its OK, I really do not want to be arrogant, but here's some tips on macro.
I created a custom category in Library Panel and call it (whatever you want)
From View->Studio->mark the Library Panel and the Macro Panel.
Open Macro Panel. Open Image you want to work on and Click Start Recording (Red Button) on Macro
Start editing ie. Ctrl+J to duplicate etc until you are finished. Stop Recording on Macro panel Square Button next to Red Button.
You will see a list of your operations in order on Macro Panel. (It is possible to edit etc, will help with that later if you need)
Now, add your Macro to the Library Panel: From Top of Macro Panel Right hand side of it, select Add To Library (4 little squares)
Select the category (Your new one?) and a Name for this Macro and click OK. The Macro will now appear in the Library Panel Under your category. I've made 2 keyboard shortcuts for myself, Alt+L for Library and Alt+M for Macro. Next time, like in PS just click Play triangle and Walla (Walla= South African word for There you are or I guess Bob's your uncle)

In no way arrogant. Really helpful. I have never made an action before so this is really helpful. I will try it soon and see how I go.

In answer to your question: on my monitor the top of the mountain looks too orange -- unrealistically so.
That is, much more orange than golden.

I think there may also be some perspective distortion which makes the mountain seem like it's leaning backwards.
That, and the fact that the mountain on the right, more in the foreground, seems to be taller, possibly diminishes the impact of the mountain which is central to the image.
I wonder if fixing the lens perspective, and increasing the height of the mountain a little using the warp tool communicates more of a sense of what it was like to be there? (or maybe not...)

Thanks Art. I have toned down the orange a bit but in reality it was striking. I played a bit with perspective and cropping but I didn't feel like I could mess with the matterhorn all that much. I am not on my computer now but will post later.
