I am having trouble posting this sorry if this is a duplicate. I am getting a file size error.
I used LAB color space - set highlight, shadow and neutral points ( I found that using the thresholds in CM was useful in identifying potential highlight and shadow points) - boosted saturation using slider - added contrast by raising 80% and lowering 20% point steeping L curve.
Appreciate any feedback on how this could be improved.

Gus,
If you look at the white square you will find a red cast over that part of the image. This is a "classic" RGB image..Mixed lighting....
If you set multiple hue clocks on the image in the trouble spots, you will see what I mean. Alt-Click on the areas you want to adjust and set up the hue clocks...then adjust the RGB curves to meet your goals....
