I used the threshold method for this version and used the RGB version.  I liked the saturated look better than the Lab result.

Not bad at all.  I like it too.  In general I like to see more color and contrast, rather than too little.  If you go too far with the color, it's always possible, using the fade control in Photoshop, to back off on the effect a bit.
