Well, I enjoyed this colourful image - don't normally get so many.

I'm finding that CM does not respond so quickly when curving a mask which makes it a little awkward.

I had great trouble with the K mask, so used the b channel instead!

Once again I tried it both ways and this time I had much more control with the conventional Dan's method, and I think the colour variation is much better, just look at the dragon fringe - sorry CM!

Chris
PS.  One point, that you might consider about the course, is to name the .jpg images so they are distinctly different (even EX1 etc.) - trying to see what others have done with a particular dragon is hard!

hey Chris...Excellent work...

Do you think the "dan" version is noisey?  It looks like the blue sky is mottled...It could be JPEG artifact.  What do you see on your screen?  also is the color difference due to a choice in "dan" method or just a visual choice??

Just wondering what the differences I see are??

Yes there is a lot of noise on compression (had to be very low for this image)

I used the same point for both methods

Absolutely a great image for playing with colour

The colors in the Dan image reveal more detail and draw you in.GregM

they are interesting...
I'm wondering which is closer to the real colors though...The cyan color looks like Copper Patina on steroids.  The green seems more natural...and provide visual contrast to the sky...related but different colors...
