I repeated the previous excercise here. It look like a magenta cast, but does not really show on hue clock.

There are lot of control points on the L curve...Try to remove a few and see if the image looks a bit less harsh.  You can use the worm to help you ID where you want to set the control points so there is less hunting and less selecting....The kinks and shrap bends are giving you trouble in there...

My approach was didderent. First in CS3 RAW converter, then I filled with light under Shadows/Highlight and theb to CM. It was not necessary to lighten now.

Seems like getting the trees back cost you too much contrast.  There might be detail in the trees even tho the monitor is not showing it.  Try a shadow threshold and see where the detail really lies...
