I copied the example. When moving the mask down as a slider, there's a dramatic change if I move my mouse even very slightly lateral. The slider does not run on rails :)
No it odes not run on rails...
I ran into this as well...you can single click on one end of the curve to deselect the linkage...then move the control point back to the edge and re-select it.
