I tried this process on some of my own images and found that if there is not a good contrast between the land and sky the results not quite as good. I'm sure the process will be useful in the future.

I think the process is sound...

The mask choice makes a big difference in the results...
Mike chose the K channel here because of the resultant mask and the part of the blue sky that is contributed by the K in CMYK  But remember that you are not making a CMYK adjustment...you are only using the information from the K channel to create the mask.

Try another mask on your other images or post he image so we can take a shot at it  an let's see what other masks we could use...

Often the b channel makes a better mask than K, since it is dependent on hue, and not contrast.  If push comes to shove, you may have to paint the mask outside of Curvemeister.
