Mike or Greg,
I have seen the doggie movie several times.
to choose the a mode and do my thing is no problem.
But you choose for our exercise now the b channel.
So, i have experimented 45 minutes to get a good contrast.
So far i know, i did all possible and strange movements with the b channel.
I do not succeed in doing it.
So I need help, alas.
Give me a hint.

Frits
p.s. at last i placed to info points on the gray lab and see , the colors are close together, so how do i enlarge the distance?

Fritz,

You have shown the channel correctly now you need to rotate the curve so it gains contrast.  You want a B&W "mask" in the window when you are done with the adjustment.  The grey tones you are showing will not make an effective mask...

See screen shot below...

ummm...A channel Fritz...

B is not a good choice for this...here is my b channel...
I think I could save his tongue...you are not trying to correct the channel here just create the mask pattern.

I made an error in the instructions.  I have fixed it to read "a channel" instead of "b".

Thanks for pointing this out.
