I think I like the LAB version. Since I don't work in RGB I'm not sure about what I'm doing. But this will give me a opportunity to try.

Tiger color and contrast is great in Lab.Details better in RGB.GregM

Adding points manually to the RGB curves (or any color curves) is a moderately difficult technique that we won't be doing much in the class. Moving the end points of the curves (usually to remove blue and green from the shadow), and floating neutrals will be about the only things we will cover.
When internal (non end points) are added to curves that control color, it will not be done by eye, but will be guided by hue clocks for known colors such as neutrals, skin tones, or foliage.
