Greetings!

The class materials for week 3 are now available.  This weeks session features a fun exercise in doing 20 skin tone pins in quick succession, and discussions of how to correct skin tones and blue color casts using the hue clock, and manual curve manipulations.

Please post here if you encounter any problems.

Mike, Examples 3 to 8 doesn't work and the very last example doesn't show pictures.
Cheers

Hi Ganna,

It's possible that you have an older version of the web page cached on your system.  Try pressing F5 in your browser window.  You'll recognize the newer version of the page because there are 7 examples, not 8.

If that doesn't fix the problem, it's possible that a router has cached an old version of the web page.  Wait a half hour or so for the new version of the web page to propagate, then try the F5 button.

As we are into pins for this week, I notice that they should be in the Goodies folder.  I dont have such a folder under CM, which is persumably why I'm pinless!

Can I create a folder and download them from anywhere?

We have discussed it earlier.
You can look on this address
c:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataCurvemeister.comCurves 3SwatchesGoodies*.*
in your computer and find the pins.
Redirect in CM to open the pinfiles there.
When you close CM , you must do the same sequence again when opening CM again.
so Mike knows  about the error.

As Frits says, there are known problems with the beta and pins, and the pins seem to vanish after installing the beta.  I hope to have this unfortuate bug fixed soon.

In the meantime, I've enclosed the file that has the pins that are used in the exercise, just in case.

To install this file, right click on the pin palette, find your way to the Manage Pins command, which will open up Windows Explorer pointing to the pins folder.  Then copy this file to that location.
