I would recommend moving the end points of the lightness curve in a bit more - like on the video.  It's permissible to have large areas of black and white, provided they are not important areas of detail. 

The payoff for doing this is more detail in the robe.  Also, bumping up the saturation slider will add more green color to the statue, and set the statue off from the sky more effectively.

In essence, we're taking an image taken on a dull day, through haze, and making it look more like one taken on a sunny day.  We can get away with making the colors more extreme because there are no natural colors, such as skin tones, to tip off the viewer.
