Another from the past. My examples, in both LAB and RGB. Again I tend towards RGB. Must be tired too many curve files, see next post

Here are the samples.

Yep  - this shot of Ellis Island is familiar to people who have taken the old class.  Barry's result is what you get with well-placed highlight and shadow points.

BTW - I'll be providing a number of new images as extra exercises.  Today's in particular, of a grizzly bear, is likely to replace this Ellis Island image.
