 Here is my attempt at the Duck in both LAB and RGB. It has taken me longer that expected. I have been away from curvemeister too long and even downloading the files confused me. I tend to like the RGB example as I find the LAB too green.

Barry, The ducks look good if you are concerned about the green in lab try moving the neutral point around a bit and see if you can find a better place on the grey band.  It might be a sample size issue or just a lot of off color pixels under your sample.  Fritz had the same effect...
