Greg, here are the flowers.
Mike liked the pedal .... ?
so only threshold black and white done.
and bumped the colors.
the older pictures , like the balls and perhaps others, will I do again, when I have finished them all the first time.

Here is the Frence gift to amerika!
Used the threshold possibilities.
not the neutral. The sky is nearly a neutral.
after that I marked the face and make the statue lighter.
After that bumped the color.
Also i did a Noise Ninja on the picture.
All before that is in lab -mode.

Nice...About all I'd change is a bit more saturation...

On the last two examples you did just fine....I see you watched Mike's video solutions..
Good Work Fritz

Greg,

indeed,  but afterwards.
On the moment , I am converting the .avi files video taken from mikes video's to .wmv files.
The biggest avi file is 61 MB and is example 5.
Perhaps is it a idea for Mike to place .avi files or .wmv files on his site, so that everybody from the lessons can download it.
I could send the .wmv files with YOURSENDIT.

He may want to do that....but Size is a problem....
I'm sure he has many Ideas flipping around in his head....

He may even link some of this to the wiki...or produce a DVD...who knows...

Personally I am waiting for the Curvemeister for Dummies book...

Greg,
that is long waiting.
But .wmv files are much much smaller and have a good quality.
Example 1 / 8 are resp: 7-11-40-45-61-53-57-32 MB in avi quality
The same in .wmv are 1-1-5-11-14-12-9-5 mb
A total of 58 MB . This is nearly  one exapmle 7 as avi file

Frits, when looking at these videos, after it is fully downloaded, you can look in the "Temporary Internet Files" folder (C:Documents and SettingsUserLocal SettingsTemporary Internet Files) on my computer, while keeping the window with the video also open, look towards the bottom of the Temporary Internet file folder and you will see the video file as a .flv file. You can copy that and download from the internet a free copy of  "FLV Player." For me that is the easiest way. Sterkte jongie.

Ganna,
you are sure ?
I am using as a explorer never the explorer from XP but Totalcommander 7.02 to examine my system.
So finding something goes very quick.
So looking to the extension .flv gives lots of hits. ( I have never looked to that extension)
But no .flv for the mike video's
they where all from  you Tube.
So I cleaned the Temp files and started again with seeing example 1. and leave the window open.
searching again gives no hits.
So STERKTE JOCHIE
Once you where in my country  and where ?

frits

p.s. i have seen it is Adobe's flashplayer. Must I change something on the settings  to keep it in the Temp files?
I have never modified the flashplayer settings!

Mike or Greg,

again the balls.

You can do it on two ways, using the threshold or setting a whitepoint.
I have learned from Mike, when using the threshold, shift to the left ( in my case) and stop when you see the first white spikes.
the same you can not reach with manipulating a whitepoint.
It is near, but ??

Frits
Balls is with threshold
Ballss is with manipulated whitepoint on the minium white.

Greg,

I did the duck asgain, looking what is the cause of the grreen cast.
It is the accurate place  pf the neutral on the ring.
A little bit right or left or down change the overal color.
