This week the lesson touches on Color By The Numbers. 
Attached to this posting you will find links to a few goodies for you to try out.

Greg, the download image is only half the picture.Doesn't have the highlight half.GregM P.S. I pictured Dan  Margulis as a bit older.

You might have to re-load the page...I corrected the image for the posting...

He's really old...it's a genetic thing....

Here's the image by the numbers.White-251,black-hair-7and neutral-inside of window frame-92 if I remember correctly.Wall behind Dan goes from blue to green butframe is grey!

Frame is white...Squirrel is gray...you could set the neutral on the white though....
the values would need to change to push the white high enough to actually be white or shadowed white..

I think the key to this sometimes is the realization that you need to select meaningful shadows, highlights and a possible neutral.

The brightest white is not necessarily the correct highlight setting.  If it is meaningless, it could be doing more to hurt you.  The main subject of a portrait is the most important part...I know ...But we sometimes forget the reason we are mucking around in the images in the first place.

If you are satisfied with the choices you need not defend them.  If your subject is not satisfied you'll need to defend them.

Last try.Learned alot from this.Greg,under control panel, display,settings,advancedmy computer asks if I want to add a profile then provides a list including sRGB.Do I want to add or specify this?GregM
