A bit of red can be removed from the image.Still doesn't explain color cast to plate.

There was a great deal of debate about this image in a previous class.
Many suggesting the plate stopped parts of the color spectrum producing the shadow cast and then others suggesting that the glass had a color shade in it. 

it is an interesting effect none the less...
