Greg,
Looking back through the 2 courses I've done with CM, there is a bit of a lack of photos with faces and bad WB - I wonder if your new pinning examples will help rectify that. I was playing with some odd images and found that my understanding and curving in rgb where there are bad casts is not very good and that's an area I'd like to improve.
BTW - where is everybody? I can only think that they are too busy doing other things - well I suspose there is more to life than CM and here in the UK we are actually experiencing summer! - but I had expected to see more submissions.

I too am surprised by the slow boards...
I will be bringing some new faces to the skin tones module I am going to try to introduce. The problem with faces is the willingness to post a portrait to the web for everyone to down load. We do it for many reasons but when we post it for others to download it gives everyone pause....

Chris, here is a scanned image of a 35 year old colour slide. Not an extreme challenge, but this is only the first week and perhaps an image to play with, esp for beginners.
I have an excuse for hibernating... its winter here :)

Great image Ganna. This was not as easy as you might think...
I left the noise to another time and concentrated on just the baby...

Greg you're welcome to use the photo. Nobody would recognise her now. (couple more wrinkles now)
Your effort is great. GregM, well done but there's still a blue cast on the white baby-grow (do you call it the same over there?)

The "one-zie" ?
To me it is a soft yellow.
The color on the front and the fact that using it as a neutral created the blue casts led me to leave it alone...
Thanks for the use....

Zog's point is well taken - there are class members who are "lurking" and we need to be creative about welcoming them to participate.

Oh, all these images are so interesting - I'm not a great pinned (!), but this time in rgb I set shadow/hilight and then pinned the left cheek at skin 1 and the lower part of the neck at skin 4.
This seemed to flatten the contrast a touch, so I used these 2 points in contrast pin mode to try and give a bit more depth to the skin colours.
I also NeatImage + FocusMagic (definitely required) before I started.
To show you how effective FM is, the first image has one side focused.
