Try out the saturation slider at the bottom of the CM window in LAB.  You can boost the color Saturation in LAB very easily with it...

The Red line in the L curve is due to "impossible" corrections.  The red line is telling you that you have pushed the curve to hard and are getting unreal colors or tones in the image.

subtle is the key...push it until you find it unreal and then reduce it until it's more normal looking to you.  Many people have trouble with increased saturation at first..you should try it out a bit and find a reasonable increase that you do not find offensive.
