Did a try on B&W for this picture.
1) From Picture corrected in CM taking the red mask in CM and load it it as new layer in PSE and save picture.
2) Took original version and adjusted neutral, black and white point in PSE. Used the Convert to B&W tool in PSE and adjusted to my liking.
Which version do you prefer?

The second one due to the cut out appearance of the skyline....
Try adjusting the mask blurr.

Tried the blur mask, all three levels, but it did not work for me. Something I missed? Got a border between adjusted heaven and forrest.
Here is green channel. Quite ok I think.

overall the tonality and richness of the image is nice...
The mask Blur issue is shown in the screen shot...
One thing you can do is edit the mask using the paintbrush if the blur mask commands do not do it for you. just paint on the mask layer with a soft brush and set the opacity of the brush to say 50%.

Greg
I tried in last colour version. Assume you mean a black brush with opacity 50%?

That would work yes...Just soften the edge of the mask...
