Here is my try. Used the Lightness mask.

Could not clean mask up in CM but did it in PSE. That is copy mask and paste it in a clean mask of an adjustment layer. Closed CM. Cleaned up mask with black brush in PSE. Made a selection and used feather 3 pxl. Opened picture again in CM now with the corrected mask shown in red. Adjusted heaven in Lab in CM. Saved picture and opened it again in CM Lab. Neutral was set. Adjusted white point with threshold. Set a contrast pin in in red Chinese building. Increase contrast and saturation.

Here is an alternative where heaven not darkened so much. Maybe better? Blue a bit bright?

I like this version much better but again the mask gives you away up on the top of the hill...

Here I tried to improve mask. Did not manage 100%. Seems to be a bit of disturbance already in the original, between heaven and forrest?

While there is still some pixel trouble at screen size it appears to be much better....

Is there not already a problem in the original? See screen shot.

it is indeed there but your correction makes it much worse...my suggestions should help keep it in the range you have shown and not add to the problem...

Good job looking deeper into the original image for trouble...
