Ok...
The key to this image is remembering that the green cannot change... only the red...To do that you need to pin the green side of the A curve. Shot1
Then bend the heck out of the A curve by grabbing the end of the curve and moving it as shown in shot2.
To save the Skin "Mark it" This will show you where on the curve you need to be working to bring the skin back. The Magenta parts of the skin have been shifted to green just like the truck. Shot3
Pull the curve down until the skin looks better. You might have to play a bit to get the right range but move the mark you created closer to the blue dash line in the curve window. Shot 4
Then to polish it a bit and make the greens and skin look better tweak the B channel a bit to make the sky and trees look better. Shot5
Things to take away from this image....
Solid colors are easily changed in LAB.
This technique combined with an effective mask can make huge changes to your images.
The CurveGuard is not a limit just a warning...
Remember that the color of the object in LAB dictates which Channel you need to work on.
