I didn't really understood what I am doing in this example.

Eran's wreath
This one is about learning how much the K channel adds or subtracts from an image...for instance you have nice color but the shadows are blocked up...you can adjust them by using the K channel. In CMYK the k = black ink hitting the printed page. It adds fullness to the color and depth to the shadows...
You can make "black" in CMYK by using just CMY but, it is dull and really just a shade of gray.
Try taking on the K channel and opening the shadows in the tree and some of the background...If the color shifts you might have to find a better neutral...
