Here is my take on the canyon.  I used LAB, set thresholds.  I then boosted colors to shop for the neutral.  The hint that it wasn't the rocks wasn't helpful.  I am a little dense and tried the foam and there always was too much blue in it. I use a 3 x 3 sampler.

I shopped the rocks, and found a point that seemed to have the colors break right.  Then i backed off the colors and added contrast.

Actually the foam is a good neutral choice..those rocks are certainly not blue...

Did this fix it?  I found a neutral.  Then pushed the blue curve to get the water a least a little blue.

Then lab and color boost.

I'm really glad you found so much color...

Try setting the hue clocks on the whites parts of the water and adjusting the highlight cast out a bit.  I found that a new neutral removed a lot of the blue and a slight adjustment to the Red channel made a nice difference.  I have attached my ACV file from your image. 

This can be a losing battle Steve...Sometimes competing adjustments force you to close and re-open the image multiple times..or an adjustment that makes one part look good messes up the rest.  It's looking much better...

I think you are fighting too hard for this correction...
Let's try it again from scratch.  The colors are getting way out of control. 
Remember rocks do not get purple except in extreme circumstances...Earth tones are more the rule for this image...

Another try.  I hope this is not too tiresome.  I gave up trying to make it blue.

I also added another neutral on the lab
