I have stared at this for so long I have no idea if they are now mouldy or shiny or too orange or anything. Help

When you take this image too far the pumpkins get the white spots. Look at both the saturation and the brightness. I think the brightness is causing this one but both can do this under the right circumstances.
See if you can make the white spots go away and still keep the feel you have in the image.

this is my next attempt. I forgot to do a screen shot. I have reduced the mould look but have discovered magenta. I have also turned whatever was in the corner a lovely shade of cyan.

Not to bad Julie...
This image as you have posted it might benefit from a slight brightness adjustment. Make the shadows a bit darker and watch the shape of the pumpkins change as you do that...The color looks good. I'm not too worried about the cyan in the corner...I would even crop it out if I were doing anything more with this..
Re: Magenta...I don't see it too bad here is there a specific area you think is too magenta??
