The color and range of tones look good except for one thing...When you saturated the image you lost highlight detail in the flowers. In (shot 1) I am showing your image as posted.
If you want to save the details in the highlights...( I know I want to) you can adjust the L curve in LAB. The beauty of this is that in LAB lightness is separate from color so your adjustment does not cause a hue shift like it would in RGB. (this is one reason LAB is really a great color space to get into)
In shot 2 I have applied a moderate "lizard tail" to the L channel in LAB to recover the details in the brightest yellows. Try it out on your image and see what happens.
