Tomorrow will be a busy day, but I will be back to desktop with working cmyk. I will make another attempt on it.
Here I moved the K curve up for more contrast. I moved the upper right point left, about the same number of units on the CMY curves. Just a shot in the dark. Makes the image more colorful and contrasty, but I am not sure of the correctness.

You know Steve...I have to admit I was going to tell you the black was way over the top...the shadows are locked up and the greens are taking a beating on the right...Then I looked at the wreath..Very nice details in the wreath and solid color...
If you can hold the K channel for the wreath and open the shadows outside the wreath then you have it...this version might be too far but the idea is solid. See if you can re-work this to keep details in the lower branch where your hue clock is...While these areas are not the main focus they are a part of the image my eyes cannot ignore.

I am sorry Greg. but I am struggling with this without a clocks or the ability to set a neutral. No info palate.
Can you email me directions to fix. both machines have lost hue clocks. The hue clock gadget works though.
Machine 1- laptop (I used this week on vacation) win 7 - 32 bit machine.
Machine 2 desktop- win 7 64 bit. both running CS 5.

For the 64 bit versions of PS you should use : Curvemeister 64 bit 3.2.3 Let me know if you cannot find it. I'll send you a link.
For the 32 bit versions you need to use 3.0.19
You can try deleting the registry settings located at:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwarecurvemeister.com
Curvemeister will re-build these when you re-start. You will lose any custom settings you have for hue clock, default color or anything else you have set in the config program.

cm 64 needs to be installed on top of a cm32. Otherwise no pins. But also, no wg cmyk does not show any numbers. All 0,0,0,0. When I open cs 5 32 bit, pins and wg cmyk numbers.
therefore, desktop works in 32 bit mode. Just patiently waiting for Mike and a 64 bit solution, but for training this is okay. 64 bit is "necessary" for huge files either panos of many layers of megapixels. In training, these are 200 k - to 2 meg photos.
Next step is to get the notebook up to speed and attach the wreath!

This cmyk numbers in the hue clocks are rather puzzling.
My theory is ... it has something to do with where CM gets its cmyk profiles.
As I said I have too computers (32 bit and 64 bit). I was pretty happy for a while when the 32 bit machine showed pins and cmyk. Then I loaded the wreath and no cmyk. Grr.... I then converted modes to "standard" cmyk and numbers again, for a while. It is very inconsistent and I do not know the reason for the variance between machines other than where the profiles are stored and registry pointers to those profiles.

If I convert to cmyk and cm was in cmyk no numbers. If I convert to cmyk and cm was in rgb, then cmyk works! (sometimes) But the drop box for medium etc. is not there.

it is possible that the way the data is being handed to CM from PS is changed..this is the kind of thing that drives developers nuts...
So if you change mode in PS to CMYK your hue clocks work...wow nice bug...thanks Adobe...
BTW I Beta tested PSE 9 for Adobe..that is going to be a popular program this go around...

There was a bug, I believe introduced after version 3.0.12, that caused the hue clock to display all zeros. This was fixed in later versions, however they have the problem of the pins not coming back after you make them go away.
My recommendation would be to go back to 3.0.12 for the time being, however *if* you are careful, and don't close the pin palette, you can have your pins, and 3.2 too. (In fact, this is how I missed the bug in the first place, since I always keep the pins open)
