I really need to learn to speed up.  I've spent WAY too much time on this dog, both last night and tonight, and my results are worse than the original! I worked in both LAB and in RGB, and the concept was easy enough, and I only moved the "tilt" a little, but...  To me the photos look too green in the grass.  I again had trouble with multiple clocks with numbers too similar to fix both areas in RGB.  The dog's nose is black but around his mouth and his back teeth are green, the grass is too green and his tongue isn't really pink.  I made multiple tries at this, and have selected just a few to show you.  I kept experimenting with the placement of the contrast area.  In the final LAB version, I moved the curve so the image was darker, and, along with some saturation (about 1.4--you can't see the # in my screen shot), I think it is the best image.  In my opinion, it is too saturated.  Unfortunately, I forgot to hit apply after I made the screenshot.

Number 4 is certainly better looking on my monitor....

Yup--that was the one that I reversed the contrast.  Go figure!
