I made two passes.  First in cmyk to correct some shadows, add a touch of blue to sky, and open some shadows.

In LAB, I bumped the color and went back down with the K slider.

I think the K slider does the same as the opacity slider, but since it is in CM you can mess with the curves and see "final" output.

Finally, you might want to check out the hue clocks.  With a K mask, sometimes I would not see the alternative numbers on the clock.

I don't like blank skies.  I think the subtle cmyk move was better for the skies.  Then the LAB move made them blue.

I did not look at old versions just to increase educational value.  But this version for some reason if much better.  I think I target the sky separately before, here is the advantage of smooth curves over blend if or selections.
