Working in LAB, I increased the contrast and the saturation of the B channel.

Solid tones...But I cannot make myself believe in a yellow/green sky...later in the class when we talk about greens you will see that this is a green sky.... ;)
I like that you separated the A and B corrections. Using the saturation slider can get to be a crutch.
Shot 1 is your sky with a hue clock...
Shot 2 is a slight adjustment to the b channel and a tweak to the A channel.
After you apply that change you could then increase the saturation. You might be surprised how far you can go without overdoing it...
