Hi together,
I don't get these curve points straight.
When I move, they make new curves. A trick or am I too stupid?
GCR maximum is 100%. Medium 50%?
Greetings, Tanja

Are you trying to use a contrast pin??
You might have too many pins on the curve. Remember CMYK is modeling ink on paper. It is a more subtle space and is not as responsive as LAB or RGB.

I tried the same like in the video hint for this picture.
Looks so easy, but my points don't want to do the same.
In the video GCR medium is used, but with an older version of cm.
Now we have a slider for that and have to know how much % is GCR medium.
Oh, have something in mind, that it does'nt work with the european Fogra-standart.
Did I have to change to another cmyk-profile?

CM uses Wide Gamut CMYK. You might have to enable soft proofing to be able to see the right CMYK profile.
There is a "switch" in the configuration area to turn on soft proofing in CM and you have to use it in PS as well.
You should not assign a CMYK profile going in unless you have a specific goal coming out. Take the image in to CM as RGB and switch to CMYK in CM. CM will translate the CMYK back to RGB and update the image.

Hi Tanja,
I see you're having the same problem I am (I just posted a note in the technical problems section). We're seeing the GCR slider but not the GCR selection as shown in this week's materials. The slider doesn't seem to affect the image, but, if I recall correctly, the selection of various black levels in the previous version had an immediate effect. Puzzled.
Cheers,
Art

Greg, okidoki, I wanna check the softproofing. I thougt this is for printing results only.
Art, jep, read it. And have my informations. GCR medium is 50%.
My first time in cmyk. Before I only use mabe the k-channel and there it's interesting with the GCR.
Wrote my own profiles for that. So it is much easyer, but at the moment I don't know, how to bring only the k-channel out of cm. Thinks this comes later in the class...
Do you try the moves on the curves, as shown in the video. I'm getting nasty ;). Don't look like a trick. Think it's "feeling".
Greetings, Tanja
