Sometimes old Photos need a bit of help

The version I have posted below starts from the end of the contrast adjustments and goes forward.  I replaced the red and blue channels with a green channel that was curved to make the mid tones look better on a layer set to Luminosity.  On my desktop there are no blotches in the face and the jacket is all there...Here's hoping the post to the web looks better this time..  BTW I helped the pants a bit with a channel mask and a separate LAB correction.
