Using masks is great, but because the curve is not saved, I can not go back and re-adjust the image.
This is a great shame because I do not always get the adjustment correct first time and really need the ability to be able to go back and tweek what I've done before.

You have the ability to save a curve whenever you want - just click the save button. Or do you mean the mask isn't saved?

Ah wait, maybe you mean the mask's curve isn't saved? Hmmm. Not sure what you mean actually... ???

Derek, if I try a save curve (or this is automatic if you look under history) and subsequently reload it, the mask curve is missing.
Similarily trying to save the curves by copy to clipboard does not include the Mask curve.
So the only way I know is to take a screen snapshot, or write the figures down.
In my work flow I frequently go back to re-adjust what I've done - trying to improve on what I've got so far, which is why I always use (adjustment) layers for every step I make.
If you havent played with Masks, it can be quite fun - have a look at this page http://www.broadhurst-family.co.uk/lefteye/MainPages/labsat+BlendIF.htm
where I compare 'normal' adjustments with a one-shot CM one

When smart filters are working again (soon) you'll be able to use Curvemeister as if it were an adjustment layer.
Smart filters aren't available in Elements, so I'll think about including the mask curve in the saved curve file with a new extension so that Photoshop doesn't get confused.

I'm running PS7 (have tried CS2, but it is so slow), so dont have Smart filters. I just run CM on a new layer, so saving in the Curves file would be great.

Ok - I'll add that to the list (and try to find time to actually do it!).
