I am new to Smart Filters and have a question.
After applying Curvemeister lab adjustments as a Smart Filter, when I try to edit the Smart Filter, Curvemeister starts up with the adjustments zeroed.
Thanks for any help.

Hi Dan,
It should not definitely work this way. I'll verify this behavior later and try to make it happen on my system.

I have this same problem and would really like to know a way to solve it? Perhaps I'm not doing something correctly?

Hi Jas,
Yes, Smart Filters do this in some situations. I will be doing a beta version that addresses this problem, and others sometime soon - no definite date yet.

Great! This is a key feature for me. Is there a way to get contacted as soon as this issue is resolved so I can make sure to download the fix?
Thanks again,
Jas

If you click on the tab labelled "Notify" at the top of this board you'll get an email next time someone posts here.

Hello!
It seems like the problem is still here, at least for me.
I have PS CS3 English ver. 10.0.1.
OS is WinXP SP2.
I've tested CM 3.0.1a, 3.0.8 and 3.0.12. All of them do not recognize "Edit Smart Filter..." command. The only way I can restore previous curves in CM is to select command "Load Previous Curve". But this is weak workaround since it can not be used after editing another file. Sure I can save .acv file with every edited image to force curves to restore later, but this is cumbersome workflow.
Frankly speaking I see a little use of CM without support of Smart Filter technology.
Since I do not read other users complaints on the matter can you please make a hint what may be wrong in my case?
Thanks in advance.
Valer.

Try this procedure:
1) select the "Filter>Convert for Smart Filter" menu command
2) run curvemeister, and apply a curve
3) curvemeister will appear in the layers palette under the layer as a smart filter
4) double click on curvemeister in the layers palette, and click on the the yellow scroll icon in the upper right corner of the curve window, so that it has a red check mark.
I tested this procedure just now using beta CM 3.0.15, under PS CS3. AFAIK, 3.0.12 and previous versions of Curvemeister should work exactly this way. Let me know if this works as advertised.
Smart filter capability is definitely important, and if there is a problem affecting your system I will address it.
