Installed:
CM 3.0.5
PE2
Vista Home Prem

When trying to install CM 3.0.7 for PE only, the installer retains my name and serial number, but when I hit return, it says I didn't enter the information correctly.

Hi Teffy,

This was my mistake - you are actually a registered owner of the full Photoshop + Elements version.  So download the other version and everything should be fine.  Please let me know if you find any other problems.

Thanks for being one of the pioneers with this beta.  I'll work on a way for the installer to give a better error message.

Thanks, Mike.  I ran the installation for the "Photoshop and Photoshop Elements" flavor of 3-3.0.7, opened PE2, and Curvemeister 3 was not on the filter menu (but Curves 2 remained).  I tried the installation again, with the same result.  I then installed 3.0.5 which is working fine.

Thanks for trying this out.  I'll set up an Elements 2 system and see if I can recreate this problem.  Which version of windows are you on?

I just did an install on my Elements 2 system and it worked.  This was on a Windows 2000 system.

I have Vista Home Premium, which has been quite an adventure :-(

I knew that getting Vista on my new PC was risky, but I never dreamed it would be as bad as it has been!

I'll keep at it until Vista is properly supported.  The latest version actually has some features in it that were intended to address Vista issues.

really??
I have home Premium on my main desk and my laptop..everything has been very nice so far....

Are you running PSE 2 in windows XP compatibility mode??
You can go to the .Exe file in the file manager and right click on it and set the properties for the OS you need.

Try XP compatibility mode....

I installed CM 3.0.8 (full version) which went without a hitch.  But, when I run Elements 2, I see only Curves 2.0 under Filters> Curvemeister.  I tried running Elements in compatibility mode (both XP and Win2K), but I still cannot see Curves 3.

So, I downloaded and installed a trial version of PE6, restarted Vista, and installed CM 3.0.8 again - this time the PE6 box was checked.  I start PE6, open an image, but don't see CM on the Filters menu. Same result if I run PE6 in XP compatibility mode.

Any ideas?

I noticed this too...

The real issue is that PS and PSE flag the folders as read only and the installer is not catching this.  When I went to Program filesAdobePSEPluginsFilters and set the rights to the folder to be NOT read only the installer worked...the same for PS.

I am an admin on the Vista PC and it still does not allow this.
When you set the folder flag to not be read only it works just fine.

I was re-installing last night because my PSE and PS versions did not match...

Greg
