A new 64 bit beta is available (for 64 bit CS4 only):
http://curvemeister.com/downloads/cm3_beta/

This version fixes a problem with the version 3.0.14 installer getting an error -8.  I'm eager to know whether this fixes the problem.  Please pose a note here to let me know if you are able to install this version.

My thanks to all of you who waited so patiently for this release.

Mike,

Just installed and used it one time.

Install worked well (after I remembered to delete the previous version  ;D ) - came up with the background image and the install dialog, and picked up the licence.

regards,

Mark

Thanks, Mark.  The installer *should* as whether you want to uninstall the previous version.  If it didn't do that, I have a bug to chase.

Alas, the new version doesn't appear in my PS x64 Filter menu at all. Yes, I used the installer to uninstall the previous x64 beta. Yes, I have tried both the installer's choice of CS4 folder and enforcing a manual folder path, to no avail. So there are still bugaboos here, alas, alas!

Thanks for trying!  If possible, try copying the plugin manually

A copy of the plugin is normally left here by the installer:
C:Program FilesCurvemeister.comCurvemeister_3Curvemeister3.8bf

And the default location for filter plugins is:
C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS4Plug-InsFilters

If you experience an installer problem, please upload the install.log and msi.log files, located in
C:Program FilesCurvemeister.comCurvemeister_3

I'm pretty sure I have a handle on the "failure to install" problem reported by Klaus and at least one other person.  The Curvemeister3.8bf file is copied to a fixed location:
C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS4 (64 Bit)Plug-insFilters

If this matches the location of your Photoshop installation, as is the case on my system and others, Photoshop will find Curvemeister.  Otherwise Curvemeister will not be visible to Photoshop.  As a workaround, copy Curvemeister3.8bf manually from the above folder to the correct location for your Photoshop installation.

Look for a new version, v3.0.15b, that fixes this problem.

A new version of the beta, v 3.0.15b, addresses the problem with the installer failing to install Curvemeister if Photoshop was installed in a non-default location:

Installed 3.0.15b on fresh install of CS4-64, worked perfectly first time  :-)
