I clicked 'hide ribbon' and couldn't get it back.... after searching the forum I found the answer was to right-click on the image, but I hadn't thought of that and had even gone to the trouble of reinstalling (which didn't help!).  I'm feeling a bit silly, but wondering if a button on the title bar is possible?  Or even an option in the fly-out menu on the curves pane (I know that's inconsistent but, well, ....)  Or perhaps a dialogue when you first hide the ribbon to tell you how to get it back?

Good point - I'll see about making it a little easier to retrieve the ribbon, perhaps with a button on the title bar.

The title bar menu has an entry to show the ribbon, and you can type ctrl-R to toggle the ribbon as well.  Though to do this you may need to reset your keyboard shortcuts to include the new command.
