I just noticed that though the settings on the masks do not stick when switching to different modes, they do stick when switching to different masks. For example, if you select a "b" mask, and refine that, and then change to a "k" mask, the settings will remain the same. Not really a problem, but it would be nice if it returned to defaults in this case, wouldn't it?

Each mask will have its own curve.  Then you can easily compare what you can do with each mask.
