I keep finding things I really like in this version. I just noticed that name of the mask is in two places. This has saved me a lot of time and confusion! I was just exploring the HSB mode. The control there is, as the others have said, just phenomenal. I am curious about the brightness curve--this doesn't work at all the same way the lightness slider works in PS. Is this really changing brightness without affecting hue or saturation? How did you do that? Looks like they are all working completely independently.

I am really thrilled with the whole masking piece. I am finally starting to know what kind of mask I may need for a given image--thanks entirely to the ability to see/compare them all so easily.

Thanks for the kind words - much appreciated.

HSB is an interesting color space from a saturation standpoint.  One thing I like about HSB is that you can increase saturation in the areas with medium saturation, without blowing out the parts that already have plenty of color.  A common example of this would be a landscape where the more distant parts of the image lack color. 

HSB is a variation on RGB, so the saturation does change when you alter the contrast, but whether the saturation increases or decreases depends on whether you make the image lighter or darker.  Another thing I like about HSB is that it was invented by Alvy Ray Smith, one of the more wonderful people I've had the pleasure of working with.

Do keep an eye out for ways to make masks even easier to use - your idea about the buttons is a shining example of this.
