Move image?

I really wish there was something on the lines of "reset pallette locations". I somehow managed to place my image right in the middle of the screen, where the curves box then overlaps it. I can resize the curves box, but I don't want to. If I do, though, and I move it over to the extreme right , as soon as it touches the right border, it resizes into a full horizontal screen and sometimes the curves title bar turns yellow. If I want to resize, I can, and the title bar turns blue again.
How can I move the image back to the left?

Also, how do I make and send screen shots? They seem to be very helpful.

It is a possibility that it's just the curves box that is the problem, and the image was always right in the middle. But regardless, is there an easy way to return to default settings?

Right now there isn't a simple command to do this, but I've added it to the list of things to do.

To solve your immediate problem: if you hold the control key down, then you can safely drag the curve window around without having it dock onto the preview image window.

Thanks, Mike. I was looking through the previous posts to see if there was a solution there, and I saw that there are supposed to be scroll bars on my image. Well, they're gone. Any help there? The image looks just like PS when you hit the tab-f keys.

I use Gadwin Printscreen for screen captures.  It's freeware and It has a lot of features. www.gadwin.com

The scroll bars have been changed to disappear unless you are zoomed in on the image.  If you are already zoomed in, let me know because that would be a bug.  As a work around, you can press the space bar and use the hand tool to move around.

Here are a few other hints that might or might not be helpful.  There should still be a title bar at the top of the screen.  If it's there, then in the upper right corner there will be an icon to allow you to toggle between full screen mode.  To get the ribbon back again, right click on the image and select the first command in the menu that appears.

Mike, scroll bars are gone. If I zoom in on an image, (which I can only do by using the tool bar commands) I can enlarge it, but I can only use the hand to move up and down, it won't move from side to side. Also, when I try to use the "z"key, and alt click, I get an eyedropper and a hue clock. If I press z and one click, it zooms way up , looks like at least 300 percent. Did you get the crash report from last night? Same thing.

I was trying to remember what was missing from the screen. One thing is the mask carte (is that what it's called, below the ribbon?)

There is a sensitivity issue with the zoom tool, where it will zoom in very close (to a 10x10 rectangle!) if you move the tool even one pixel.  If you're using a stylus for example, this would happen almost every time. 

I fixed the problem by requiring that you move the cursor further to zoom.

The scroll bars being gone is a new one.  I'll try to recreate it.

The mask carte is the set of masks you see under the mask tab, when no mask is selected.  I do plan to make this nicer, with the ability to click directly on a mask to pick one to experiment with.

If you would like to reset your view back to the initial state use regedit to delete the key named
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareCurvemeister.comCurvemeister3

Next time you run Curvemeister, everything will be in its original location.  If you do this, I'd be interested in whether the scroll bars come back.
