When I use alt click to create a hue clock for a sample point and I set the "clock and text" from the ribbon.  The settings do not stick for subsequent Hue clocks.

Hi Greg,

You definitely have a point.  I'm not sure right off the bat how to make it less confusing.

Changing the default settings can still done from the settings dialog, which is accessed via the wrench icon, or by a square embossed marking on the bottom right corner of some of the ribbon groups, including the view group in the view tab.  The ribbon controls the setting of the currently selected points.

Curvemeister has worked this way for some time, but it has been clearer, from the context, whether you're changing the global defaults (done in the config settings), or the individual eyedroppers (done in the sample 's menu).  Bringing the per eyedropper settings out to the ribbon has detached them from their context, and made it more confusing.

I could change this so that the ribbon controls the global default sample settings instead of the state of the individual selected pins.  I do find it informative to be able to click on individual eyedroppers, and see the sample size, pin mode, etc change.  Or I could put both groups of settings on the ribbon, somehow distinguishing the global default settings from the settings of individual eyedroppers.

A label change would be sufficent.  Mabe Add a "Current" or "New" to the to the label.  Possibly a fly  out context tool tip that tell you the settings are for the current clock..

There you go.  It's on the "todo" list.
