I'm having a little trouble here. This problem with comparing CM output with PS input seems inconsistent. Sometimes the two seem identical, sometimes I think there is no change in the PS file, sometimes it just doesn't match. I took screenshots this time, before I closed CM. I have put them into one shot, but I can send the separate shots if you can't see the differences well enough.

The main shot is the original PS file, with layers on.
Top left file is the CM adjustment, made with layers off in PS.
The second is how that looked in PS on import.
The third is how it looked when I turned the PS layers on.

None of them look like the CM adjustment. But I though Mike fixed this awhile back, and it seemed to work the next day. And yesterday, I think. Mike, is this your way of getting back at me for sending five nearly identical screen dumps in five minutes?

Hi Gloria.  A good programmer never seeks revenge, and I would never even consider it for good deeds such as sending in crash dumps. :-)

I don't see your screen shots, though.  If they were intended to be part of your post, it's possible to modify your original message and add them.

I think I know what this is.

Curvemeister can't preview the effect of these adjustment layers that occur above the layer.  AFAIK, this is an inherent limitation of how Photoshop handles plug-ins.

I like the image, BTW - the cherry looks luminous.

OK, but if
1)I have an image with layers, and
2) I turn them off and copy the background and open curvemeister, and
3) make an adjustment in Lab
shouldn't I see the original PS file with the Lab adjustments, (if the PS layers are turned off?)

I actually think I am seeing the accurate Lab adjustments in PS. I expect to see more of a response in Curvemeister when I apply some fairly strong Lab adjustments. However, I just tried two different files, and they both worked fine. I went back to the cherry one, and flattened it first, and still had the same response. Look at the difference in just the cherry, and the blue in the shadow.

In this I dragged the four adjustment layers in PS to the trash, then opened CM. The adjustments are all made in Lab ( a little exagerated so the difference is obvious) and then Ok'd to PS:

Yes, this really looks wrong.  I've gotten this sort of difference in the past when the mask is inverted from what it should be.

I'm about to do another release, and will have some time to look at this later today.

BTW - if you forget an enclosure, you have the ability to click on "Modify this message" and add them after the fact.
