I get the following error message on Curvemeister 2.0 on a Vista laptop.

"curves2HistoryNovember 2007111407-10713-Pan+Wash-iC.jpg-HSB-acv."

And ideas?

Is it trying to write to that location or are you trying to open history from there??

This is a permissions problem that seems to affect Vista folks more, though it can happen as well on XP.  It's a show stopper for Curvemeister 2, since writing to the history file is required for the operation to complete.  The easiest way to fix this is to either alter the permissions of the history folder, or run regedit to move the history folder to a location that is writable.

I've attached a .reg file that will change this to c:windowstemp, which should work for most systems.  To use the .reg file, download it and open it.  If this doesn't do the trick for your system, please post back and we'll get to the bottom of it.

Mike,
This looks like a job for the wiki....

could you create a page with reg hacks on it for problems like this??

That's a good idea, Greg!  There are some other features that could be of interest too, setting mask blur params,  and the resolution of the temporary image used for scrolling.
